DHAKA, Sept 6, 2019 (BSS) – Primary and Mass Education Ministry has signed
a deal with Rupali Bank SureCash again for disbursing primary student’s
stipend to their mothers for the fiscal 2019-20.
Director (Joint-Secretary) of the Directorate of Primary Education Md
Badiar Rahman and Deputy Managing Director of the Rupali Bank Limited (RBL)
Mohammad Jahangir Alam signed the agreement on behalf of their respective
organisations at the ministry conference room in the city on Wednesday, said
a press release here today.
State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Ministry M Zakir Hossen
attended the function as the chief guest while Primary and Mass Education
Secretary M Akram-Al-Hossain was present as special guest.
Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education Dr AFM Manzur
Kadir presided over the function.
Rupali Bank SureCash has been successfully disbursing primary students’
stipend to their mothers for the last three years. As a result, Primary and
Mass Education Ministry has signed the agreement with Rupali Bank SureCash
again.
Under the stipend project, around 1.78 crore mothers have been registered
for mobile banking account till now and they are receiving stipend money
directly to their account through this digital system.
