Bangladesh lose first practice match in Dushanbe

DHAKA, Sept 3, 2019 (BSS)- Bangladesh national football suffered a 0-2 goal defeat to Tajikistan Premier League side FC Kuktosh in the first two practice matches held today at Hisar Stadium in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

In the day’s match, Mohiuddin put Kuktosh ahead in the 12th minute while after the lemon break Sobir sealed the victory scoring the second goal for the winners in the 63rd minute of the match.

The second and last practice match will be held on Thursday (September 5) at the same venue.

The national booters are now in Dushanbe for an eight-day intensive training under the supervision of team’s head coach Jamie Day ahead of the away match against Afghanistan scheduled to be held on September 10.

Bangladesh squad: Goalkeepers: Ashraful Islam Rana, Shahidul Alam Sohel and Anisur Rahman Zico.

Defenders: Tutul Hossain Badsha, Shushanto Tripura, Rahmat Mia, Yeasin Khan, Bishwanath Ghosh, Yeasin Arafat and Riyadul Hasan.

Midfielders and Strikers: Mashuk Miah Johnny, Jamal Bhuiyan, Mamunul Islam, Sohel Rana, Rabiul Hasan, Biplo Ahmed, Arifur Rahman, Mohammad Ibrahim, Nabib Newaz Jibon, Mahbubur Rahman Sufil, Matin Miah, Saad Uddin and Jewel Rana.
