DHAKA, Aug 24, 2019 (BSS)- Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq today called for following the ideology of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman so that the Bengali nation could occupy the place of the best nation across the globe.
“Bangabandhu psyched up us to dream of building a ‘Sonar Bangla’ and we should materialize his dream to make ourselves as one of the best nations before the world,” he said.
He said this while addressing a discussion titled ‘Bangabandhu Theke Bishwabandhu”, organized by Bangabandhu Research Council on the occasion of the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu and National Mourning Day at National Press Club in the city.
AL advisory council member Mozaffar Hossain Paltu addressed the discussion as the main discussant.
With Bangabandhu Research Council President Lion Ghani Mia Babul in the chair, the meeting was also addressed, among others, by lawmakers Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman and Begum Shamsun Nahar Bhuiyan and Agriculture Bank Chairman Mohammad Ismail.
Mozammel said the anti liberation forces wanted to bury the ideology of Bangabandhu but they failed in their attempts, adding: “the masterminds of the Bangabandhu killing should be punished to free the country from this stigma.”
