FARIDPUR, Aug 24, 2019 (BSS) – At least eight persons were killed and 15
others injured when a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch on the
Dhaka-Khulna highway here today.
The accident occurred in Dhuldi bridge area of Sadar upazila at about
2.30 pm when the Gopalganj-bound bus from Dhaka plunged into the ditch while
giving side to a motorbike, said police super Alimuzzaman.
Six people died on the spot while two others succumbed to their injuries
at Faridpur Sadar Hospital.
Identities of the victims could not be known immediately, police said.
