‘Concept of Productivity’ to be inserted in nat’l education curriculum

DHAKA, Aug 22, 2019 (BSS) – The government is going to included a new chapter on ‘Concept of Productivity’ in the national education curriculum from 2021 for encouraging the youths to promote productivity.

To this end, a draft content of the National Productivity Organisation (NPO) has already been sent to the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB). The chapter will be included for the students of SSC and Dakhil (Vocational) level.

The information was revealed today at the productivity executive committee meeting at the Industries Ministry in the city, said a press release.

Industries Secretary Md Abdul Halim presided over the meeting while Additional Secretary of the ministry Lutfur Nahar Begum, Managing Director of the SME Foundation Md Shafiqul Islam, Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC) Chairman Mijanur Rahman and Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industries Corporation (BSFIC) Chairman Ajit Kumar paul, among others, were present on the occasion.

Abdul Halim said the government has also taken an action plan for making profitable of the country’s state-owned sugar mills.
