DHAKA, Aug 19, 2019 (BSS) – A total of 48,024 dengue patients, who have
been admitted to different hospitals since January across the country, have
returned home after recovery.
A total of 54,797 patients were admitted to different hospitals across
the country after being infected with the mosquito-borne disease so far, a release
of Health Crisis Management and Control Room of Directorate General of Health
Services (DGHS) said here today.
However, 40 people have died from the disease till now.
A total of 6,733 patients are currently undergoing treatment at
different hospitals and clinics across the country. Among them, 3,419 are
taking treatment across Dhaka division while 3,314 are admitted outside of
the capital.
A total of 1,615 new dengue patients were admitted to different
hospitals in the last 24 hours across the country, the release added.
