PABNA, Aug 17, 2019 (BSS)- Two suspected robbers were killed in a lynch-
mob attack in Sondaha Kanelpara area under Santhia upazila of the district
last night.
The deceased were identified as Shaheen alias Holka Shaheen, 45 of
Jorgachha village and Machhir alias Kalu, 35 of Daramucha village in the
upazila.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Santhia Police Station, Jahangir Hossain, said
when a gang of four robbers were attempting to commit robbery in the village
last night, local people caught two of them and gave them a good beating,
leaving them seriously injured.
Two other gang members managed to flee from the spot, OC said.
On information, police rescued the injured robbers and admitted them to
Santhia Upazila Health Complex first and then shifted to Pabna General
Hospital where on-duty doctors declared them dead.
They were members of an outlawed group and there are several robbery and
explosive cases against them with different police stations, OC added.
