DHAKA, Aug 7, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD)
predicted light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary
gusty wind at most places over the country in the next 24 hours ending 9 am
tomorrow.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary
gusty wind is likely to occur at few places over Khulna, Barishal and
Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and
Sylhet divisions”, said a Met office release here today.
Mild heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur and Sylhet divisions and the
regions of Tangail and Kishoreganj and it may abate, said the press release.
The monsoon depression over Northwest Bay and adjoining coastal areas of
Bangladesh and West Bengal moved Northwestwards and intensified into a
Monsoon Deep Depression over the same area. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh
and strong over North Bay.
Day and night temperature may fall by (1-3) degree Celsius over the
country, the release added.
