Committee formed to verify effectiveness of mosquito killing chemicals
DHAKA, Aug 4, 2019 (BSS) – The government today formed a seven-member committee to verify the effectiveness of insecticides (larvicide and adulticide) used in different city corporations and municipalities to kill mosquitoes and ensure whether those insecticides are harmful for human body and environment.
Local Government Division (LGD) additional secretary (urban development) was made president of the committee while deputy secretary (City Corporation-1) as member secretary, said an official press release.
Chief health officers of Dhaka south and north city corporations were among the five other members of the committee.
