Construction works of High-tech park will complete in due time: Badsha

RAJSHAHI, May 12, 2018 (BSS)- Fazley Hossain Badsha, MP, general secretary
of Workers Party of Bangladesh (WPB), said the construction works of
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Hi-Tech Park in Rajshahi will be completed within
the stipulated time.

He said the construction works are going on in full swing as the boundary
wall around the 31.63 acres of the project area is taking shape along with
the five storied incubation centre in the first phase. The park is expected
to create job opportunities for around 14,000 youth both boys and girls.

The lawmaker made this observation while addressing a public gathering in
city’s Haragram area on Friday as the chief guest.

As per the government decision, he said the park has provision for
attracting foreign companies to set up operations in the country alongside
developing indigenous technological capability for the development of the
local industries.

In true sense, the park intends to create conducive atmosphere for
establishing ICT, engineering, electronics, telecommunication, biotechnology
and other related knowledge-based industry.

Besides, providing necessary administrative supports to the potential
entrepreneurs interested in investing at the Hi-Tech Park that will ensure
electricity, water, sewerage, gas, telephone, internet and other utility
services.

Government is implementing various programmes across the country to create
opportunities for earning foreign currency through online outsourcing, he
added.

“Freelancing is an extremely prospective sector worldwide and now it is
getting popularity in our country,” said the lawmaker.

City unit general secretary of WPB Debashish Pramanik, Ward Councilors of
Rajshahi City Corporation Nuruzzaman Tuku and Md Kamruzzaman and school
teacher Golam Sarwar Swapan also spoke.
