DHAKA, May 8, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Foreign Ministry yesterday turned down the Islamabad observation saying that no amendment made to original draft of the Dhaka Declaration adopted during the 45th OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM), concluded yesterday in the capital.

“There was no amendment made to the original draft of para 18 concerning which Pakistan has made observations,” said a statement issued by the foreign affairs ministry yesterday night.

The statement said an original draft of the Dhaka Declaration was received from the General Secretariat of the OIC.

“Subsequently, some additional paragraphs were suggested by some member states, OIC related organisations and the host country,” it said, adding “The suggestions were included in the draft Declaration prior to its adoption by the Council.”

An official release said the statement was made as attention of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh has been drawn following a press release issued by Pakistan on the recently concluded 45th OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.

Earlier today, Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka in a press release claimed the host country circulated the text of the Dhaka Declaration just before the conclusion of the conference.
