DHAKA, July 23, 2019 (BSS) – One of the largest companies of Bangladesh Saif Powertec Limited is going to become sponsor of traditional football team Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra.
Saif Powertec Limited managing director Tarafdar Ruhul Amin during a courtesy call with Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque MP held Tuesday at head office of national Muktijoddha councilor has agreed to help Muktijoddha Sangsad to form a strong team for the next season.
Appreciating the versatility involvement of Saif Powertec in the country’s sports arena, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque MP said: “Saif Powertec is helping for the development of country’s football arena in many ways … we know about it and for that I have invited Tarafdar Ruhul Amin and sought cooperation from him to form the Muktijoddha team,” a press release read today.
The name of the team that is associated with the liberation War is the Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra because the time-honored freedom fighters have given us this red and green flag, the Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was also a footballer … so it’s our moral responsibility to cooperate … the Minister called me to cooperate the team and I agreed,” said Tarafdar Ruhul Amin.
It can be mention that Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra were the Dhaka Premier League champions team of 1997-98 to 2000-01. They also won the title of National Football championship in 2003.They also played in Asian Club Championship and Asian Cup winners Cup and AFC Cup.
