DHAKA, July 21, 2019 (BSS) – The President of Bangladesh Philippines
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BPCCI) Akber Hakim and Vice President Shams
Mahmud recently paid a visit to Manila to promote bilateral trade and
investment between the two countries.
The BPCCI leaders were accompanied by Ambassador of Philippines to
Bangladesh Vincente Vivencio T. Bandillo.
Akber Hakim and Shams Mahmud are also the Directors of Dhaka Chamber of
Commerce & Industry (DCCI), said a DCCI press release today.
During the visit, they called on the Secretary of the Department of Trade
and Industry (DTI) Ramon M. Lopez, Amb. Lourdes O. Yparraguirre, Under
Secretary for International Economic Relations, DFA and the President of
Philippines Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) MA Alegria S. Limjoco.
They also met DTI Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) and DTI-Foreign Trade
Service Corps (FTSC) in order to discuss the management of an Outbound
Business Matching Mission (OBMM) to Dhaka in September 2019.
