Mobile healthcare launched for Panchagarh flood victims

PANCHAGARH, July 16, 2019 (BSS) – District administration and district civil surgeon office today jointly launched mobile healthcare facilities for flood-affected people in the district.

Debiganj upazila Nirbahi Officer formally inaugurated the healthcare services at a function at Sabujpara village under the upazila.

Sources at district administration said several thousands of people of Debiganj upazila were badly affected by monsoon flood caused by heavy rainfall and onrush of water from upstream.

Mobile healthcare has been introduced to prevent water-borne diseases in
the flood-affected areas, they added.

An official of district Civil Surgeon Office said, “We have taken
necessary preparation to provide medical service for flood-hit people to
avert any epidemic situation.”
