Korean PM visits EPZ, nursing institute

DHAKA, July 14, 2019 (BSS) – Korean Prime minister today visited export processing zone in Savar and a nursing institute running by Korean support at Mugda in the capital.

Korean premier went to Savar EPZ after paying homage to rich tributes to the liberation war martyrs of Bangladesh by placing wreaths at the National Memorial at Savar.

Lee visited a Korean company named Youngone Hitech Sportswear at the EPZ while Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury was present.

Later, the Koran premier visited National Institute of Advanced Nursing Education and Research at Mugda in the city.

The Korea International Cooperation Agency and Younsei University College of Nursing in partnership with the Bangladesh government established the institute in 2013 to advance the quality and standard of the country’s nursing service.

Health Minister Zahid Malik, Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury and Member of the Parliament Saber Hossain Chowdhury welcomed the Korean premier at the institute.

The Korean premier pledged that his government will remain beside Bangladesh in further improvement of the country’s health while taking a tour inside the institute.

Lee also planted a sapling at the premises of the institute.

The Korean premier arrived here on Saturday on a three-day official visit.
