JAMALPUR, May 2, 2018(BSS)- Bangladesh achieved a tremendous success in all key sectors under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, earning much fame abroad for the country.
State Minister for Jute and Textile Mirza Azam said this today with a call upon the people to re-elect Bangladesh Awami League led by Sheikh Hasina in the upcoming general elections to help continue the ongoing pace of development in Bangladesh.
He was addressing as the chief guest a function marking distribution of cheques for stipend money among the poor meritorious students at the Zilla Parishad auditorium here with Zilla Parishad chairman Faruk Ahmmed Chowdhury in the chair today.
The function was addressed, among others, by President of District Awami League Advocate Mohammad Baki Billah, Mayor of Jamalpur Municipality Mirza Sakhawatul Alam Moni, Chief Executive Officer of Zila Parishad Mohammad Anowar Hossain, President of Jamalpur Press Club Azizur Rahman Doll and Vice-president of District Awami League GS Mizanur Rahman.
A total of 48 poor meritorious students, who got GPA-5 in the HSC examinations in 2017, received the money. Each student, 21 female and 27 male, got Taka 10,000.
