Water level in Jamuna river at Bogura point rises sharply
BOGURA, July 12, 2019 (BSS) – Water level in the Jamuna river has risen
sharply due to heavy rainfall and onrush water from upstream region.

Hasan Mahmud said, “Water levels in different points of the Jamuna River have
risen alarmingly… Water level of the Jamuna river in its different points
may cross danger levels.” Low-lying areas in Jamuna river basin might be
flooded, if the increasing trend of the river will continue, he added.
District administration sources said all necessary initiatives already
have been taken to face flood in the district. Alongside taking initiatives
to check damages of embankments, adequate relief materials have been remain
stock to deal any catastrophic situation caused by flood.
