DHAKA, April 28, 2018 (BSS)-Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind with lightning flashes is likely to occur at places over the country with hails at isolated places in 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind with lightning flashes is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places in the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am today,” said a met office press release.
Day temperature may rise slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
In association with rain or thundershowers temporary westerly or northwesterly gusty or squally wind speeding 45-60 kph is likely to occur over the regions of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Pabna, Bogura, Mymensingh, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakahli, Faridpur and Sylhet wherein river ports shall hoist cautionary signal number one by 6 pm today, said a waning message.
The maximum temperature was recorded 37.7 degrees celsius yesterday at Feni in Chattogram division and today’s minimum temperature 19.8 degrees celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 14 mm at Sayedpur in Rangpur division. The sunsets at 6.26 pm today and rises at 5.26 am tomorrow in the capital city.
