Science and technology fair ends at RUET

RAJSHAHI, July 6, 2019 (BSS)- A two-day science and technology fair ‘Technocracy 2019’ concluded at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) here yesterday amidst an attractive Inter University Computer Programming (IUCP) contest.

More than 300 contestants from 96 teams comprising the students of 49 public and private universities including Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Rajshahi University, Jahangirnagar University and the host RUET took part in the IUCP contest.

This year fair came up with all new outstanding and amazing events which were very exciting, fascinating and challenging for creative mindsets.

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in RUET hosted fair aims at blending all the engineering knowledge to meet the social and global challenges.

As a whole, the fair created a platform for the enthusiastic students of top universities in Bangladesh to showcase their day-to-day talents and skills.

RUET Vice-chancellor Prof Rafiiqul Alam Sheikh, Director General of Science and Technology Museum Munir Chowdhury, Executive Director of Confidence Batteries Limited Muallem Abdul Maleque and Prof. Vincenzo Piuri from Italian Milan University were present at the closing day’s technical and plenary sessions.

In addition to two technologies related seminars, the two fair included showcasing projects, poster presentation, junior Einstein track, olympiad, gaming competition and mock contest.
