DHAKA, July 04, 2019 (BSS)- A delegation of the ‘Humayun Rasheed Choudhury Smrity Parishad (HRCSP)’ today paid a courtesy call on President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban this afternoon.
The delegation led by parishad’s President and Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary Md Nojibur Rahman informed the President about the overall activities of the association, President Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.
Welcoming the delegation, the head of the state said the overall activities of the parishad would help the new generation know about the life and works of former Speaker Humayun Rasheed Choudhury.
The President, also former Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad, was included as a lifetime member of the parishad which today started collecting membership with the inclusion of his name first, the press secretary added.
The parishad has also chalked out various programmes to mark his death anniversary on July 10.
The leaders of the association and secretaries concerned, among others, were present there.
