Shafiullah, Harun elected chairman, general secretary of Sector Commanders Forum
DHAKA, June 29, 2019 (BSS) – Sector Commander Major General (Retd) KM Shafiullah and Freedom Fighter Harun Habib have been elected chairman and secretary general respectively of the Sector Commanders Forum Liberation War ’71.
According to a notification issued today signed by Chief Election Commissioner Lt. Col. (retd) Abu Osman Chowdhury.
Sector Commander Major General (retd) CR Dutta and Sector Commander Lt Col (retd) Abu Osman Chowdhury have been made Vice Chairmen in the committee.
Freedom fighter Mohammad Nurul Alam, Mobashwar Hossain, Anwarul Alam Shaheed, M Hamid, Major General (retd) Shahjahan and Dr Amjad Hossain were elected as vice-presidents.
Besides, the committee also included Professor Abul Kalam Azad Patwari, Abdul Mabud and Shahjahan Mridha Benu as Joint Secretary Generals in the committee while Dr MSA Mansur Ahmed became Treasurer in it.
Earlier in the morning, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque inaugurated the 5th National Convention of the Sector Commanders Forum Liberation War ’71 at Officers Club in city’s Baily Road area.
