DHAKA, April 21, 2018 (BSS) – State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has said that Bangladesh could be a marketing hub of Europe including Germany.

“Bangladesh will be the hub of this huge market in this region due to availability of labour in terms of cheap wage and political commitments that would play an important role for expansion of market,” he said, while speaking at a the 3rd German-Asia Business Dialogue in Berlin recently.

Nasrul said the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina created an environment for huge investment in Bangladesh and large amount of money could be invested in power and energy sectors in future.

The state minister hoped that a platform will be constituted from the dialogue, which will strengthen business relations between German and Asian companies and facilitate coordination with MPs, government officials and diplomats.

Prior to the programme, Nasrul discussed the future energy, sustainable development and investment bilaterally with German MP Mark Hauptmann.

They emphasized on increasing mutual interests of both countries, the release said.
