BADMINTON-COURSE
Badminton Umpiring & Coaches Training Course begins
DHAKA, June 20, 2019 (BSS)- The residential Inter district women’s
Badminton Umpiring and Coaches Training Course has begun today (Thursday) at
Dhanmondi Women’s Sports Complex in the city.
Bangladesh Badminton Federation (BBF) general secretary Amir Hossain Bahar
formally inaugurated the course as the chief guest. Bangladesh Women’s Sports
Association (BWSA) senior vice president Anjuman Ara Aksir presided over the
opening ceremony.
Bangladesh Weightlifting Federation joint secretary Shah Jalal Mukul, BWSA
acting general secretary engineer Firoza Karim Neli and Badminton sub
committee’s member secretary Syeda Moriom Tareq, among others, were present
on the occasion.
A total of twenty female trainees from twenty districts across the country
are taking part in the five-day course, organized by Bangladesh Women’s
Sports Association (BWSA), under the patronization of National Sports
Council.
National badminton trainer Monowarul Alom Babul and badminton umpiring
trainer Nuruzzaman Liton are conducting the training course.
