4-day Thai trade show begins April 23 in city

 DHAKA, April 19, 2018 (BSS) – A four-day Thai trade show will begin on April 23 aiming to build relation, especially in trade, between the people of Bangladesh and Thailand.

“Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed will inaugurate the trade show titled “Thailand Week 2018″ at 11 am at Sonargaon hotel in the city,” Minister Counsellor (commercial) of Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka Suebsak Dangboonrueng today said at a press conference at Sonargaon hotel here.

Ministry of Commerce, Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Royal Thai Government and Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka are jointly hosting the event that will continue till April 26, he added.

About 45 Thai companies and 27 Bangladeshi companies which are either importers or agents of Thai products will take part in the trade exhibition, the Thai official said.

Main categories of the products that will be exhibited in the trade show are auto parts, industrial equipment and hardware, tropical fresh fruit, food and beverage, houseware, gift and decorative items, stationary, baby products, garment, jewelry footwear, health and beauty product, Dangboonrueng added.

The fair will remain open from 11 am to 9 pm every day while cultural functions performed by Thai artists also will be held every day during the fair.
