DHAKA, June 18, 2019 (BSS) – Salman Fazlur Rahman, Private Industry and Investment Adviser to the Prime Minister, today said Bangladesh is now considered one of the most attractive investment destinations in the world.
“Bangladesh, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has witnessed unprecedented growth and development in various sectors and is undergoing a massive transition towards prosperity,” he said while meeting with a 23-member business delegation of UK Bangladesh Catalysts of Commerce and Industry (UKBCCI) at his Gulshan office in the city, said a press release.
He urged the British Bangladeshi businesspeople should also seize these opportunities.
“Bangladeshi diaspora in Britain could also send a proposal to the Bangladeshi government to set aside a dedicated special economic zone for them,” he said.
He thanked the Bangladeshi diaspora for their immense contribution to improving Bangladesh’s image in the world stage and urged them to continue their mission.
Salman also suggested organizing a series of investment summit and seminars jointly with the Bangladesh government in Britain to promote Bangladesh’s investment potential.
He called upon the British-Bangladeshi diaspora to be prepared to face the drastic challenges of fourth industrial revolution.
The business delegation responded very positively to his idea of organizing investment summits and proposing the government to allocate a special economic zone for British-Bangladeshi businessmen.
They expressed their interests to invest in various sectors in Bangladesh.
