AK Sarkar elected board member of FIBA Asia
DHAKA, June 17, 2019 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Basketball Federation (BBF) general secretary AK Sarkar was elected executive member and finance committee’s chairman of the FIBA Asia for term of 2019-23.
The FIFA Asia Board election was held during the FIBA Asia Zone Assembly meeting held on June 20-13 in Bengaluru, India.
The BBF in a press release today (Monday) paid rich tributes to their general secretary AK Sarkar, who is also Secretary General of South Asian Basketball Association. It also added that BBF Executive Committee believes that Sarkar would be able to play a more dynamic role for the development and expansion of game in South Asian Basketball and FIBA Asian Basketball.
