48 landless families get land in Natore

NATORE, July 19, 2017 (BSS) – At least 48 landless families of 12 unions under Singra upazila of the district got land from the government today.

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division Junaid Ahmed Palak handed over the documents of the land to the landless families at a function at the upazila auditorium as the chief guest.

About 7.37 acres of land were distributed among the families.

Palak said the government is working relentlessly for the welfare and development of the country’s people. There will be no homeless people in the country, he added.

Acting Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) M Musfikur Rahman presided over the function while Poura mayor of Singra upazila Jannatul Ferdous, president of the upzila Awami League Wahidur Rahman Sheikh and principal Ashraful Islam were present, among others.
