JAMALPUR, April 17, 2018 (BSS)-Local Government Division (LGD) disbursed 43 sewing machines among poor women of Nowarpara union under Islampur upazila of the district on Monday.
Local sources said the LGD distributed the sewing machines under its LGSP-3 project for human resource development. The project is aimed at income generation for poor women.
Local Government Division Deputy Director Khandakar Mohammad Abdullah Al Mahmud, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mizanur Rahman and District Facilitator Md Habibur Rahman were present in the sewing machine distribution programme.
Nowarpara Union Parishad Chairman Golam Mostafa presided over the function.
