FARIDPUR, July 19, 2017 (BSS)-At least 25 shops were gutted in a fire that broke out at Pukuria Bazar under Bhanga upazila of the district last night.
Fire service sources said the fire broke out at a cloth shop around 11.25pm and soon engulfed the adjacent shops.
On information, three firefighting units form Bhanga and Faridpur fire service stations rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze after one hour of frantic efforts.
Bhanga fire station office sources said the fire might have originated from an electric short circuit.
