Int’l seminar on management practice at IU on Wednesday

 ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY (Kushtia), April 16, 2018 (BSS) – A daylong International Seminar titled, ‘Management Practice in Bangladesh and Challenges of Twenty First Century’ will be held at Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Wednesday.

The Management Department of the university will arrange the seminar at Business Administration Faculty on the campus at 10 am, said secretary of the seminar Dr Dhanonjoy Kumar.

Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari will attend the seminar as the chief guest while its Pro-VC Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman and Treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha will be present as special guests.

Prof Dr Amalendu Bhunia of Kalyani University, India, and Prof M Saiful Islam of Islamic University (IU) will deliver the keynote papers at the seminar with IU Management Department chairman Prof Dr M Ruhul Amin in the chair.

IU Business Administration Faculty dean Prof Dr Kazi Akhtar Hossain will address at the seminar as the guest of honor while Dr Dhanonjoy Kumar will deliver the welcome speech as the secretary of the seminar.

Around 200 researchers from different universities, including North Bengal University, Kolkata University, Kalyani University, India, and Dhaka University (DU), Rajshahi University (RU), Comilla University (CoU), Barishal University (BU), will take part at the seminar.

A total of 21 research papers will be presented at the seminar on the area of management, accounting, organisational behavior, small and medium enterprise (SME), finance, marketing, economics, corporate governance, tourism, hospitality research and among others.
