DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, June 13, 2019 (BSS) – A red carpet was rolled out as President M Abdul Hamid arrived in Tajik capital Dushanbe tonight.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, carrying the President and his entourage members, landed at Dushanbe International Airport at about 09:52 pm (local time).
The head of the state, who is on seven-day official visit to two central Asian states – Tajikistan and Uzbekistan – arrived here to attend the filth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
The President will later visit Uzbekistan from June 16.
On his arrival at Dushanbe, the President was received by the chair of the parliament’s upper chamber and concerned officials.
President’s wife Rashida Khanam, Foreign Minister Dr AK Momen, among others, are accompanying Abdul Hamid.
The President is expected to return home on June 19.
