KUSHTIA, July 19, 2017 (BSS) – Cultural Minister Asaduzzaman Noor said today present government has undertaken elaborate programmes to promote cultural practice in the grassroots level to root out militancy.
The government has appointed around 100 Musical Instrument Teachers at educational institutions across the country, he added.
Noor said this at Kushtia Shilpakala Academy after laying the foundation stone of a multi-storey building for the Shilpakala Academy here.
Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, secretary of the Cultural Affairs Ministry Ibrahim Hossein, Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Liaquat Ali Khan, Deputy Commissioner Md Zahir Raihan and Police Super of Kushtia SM Mehdi Hassan were present.
