Met office predicts continuation of rainfall

DHAKA, JUNE 3, 2019 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted that the existing rainfall may continue at many places in the country in the next 24 hours ending at 9 am tomorrow.

“Rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions,” said a met office bulletin issued here this morning.

However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The highest temperature on Sunday was recorded 36.9 degrees Celsius at Kutubdia in Chattogram and today’s minimum temperature 21.0 degrees Celsius at Tangail.

The highest rainfall for last 24 hours (till 06 am today) was recorded 134mm at Bogura.

The sun sets at 06:43pm today and rises at 05:11am tomorrow in the capital.
