DHAKA, April 10, 2018 (BSS) – Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places with hails at isolated places over the country in 24 hours as 9 am tomorrow.
“Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions with hails at isolated places in 24 hours commencing from 9 am today,” said a met office press release.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period, the release added.
However, in a warning message, the met office said rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporarily west or north-westerly gusty or squally wind speeding 45-60 kph is likely to occur over the regions of Rangpur, Dinajpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions wherein river ports shall hoist cautionary signal number one till 6 pm today.
The maximum temperature was recorded 34.4 degrees celsius yesterday at Patuakhali and Khepupara in Barishal division and today’s minimum temperature 19.5 degrees celsius in Sylhet.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 51 mm in Sylhet.
The sunsets at 6.18 pm today and rises at 5.41 am tomorrow in the capital city.
