Seven held with fake currencies in city
DHAKA, MAY 27, 2019 (BSS) – Detective Brunch (DB) of police has arrested
seven people with fake currencies worth around Taka 30 lakh from Motijheel
area of the capital.
The arrestees are – Md Shaheen, 37, Mahinur Begum,26, Mohammad Ali 35,
Md Riyan Nazim,27, Md Abdus Samad,45, Md Abdul Karim,60, and Md Rasel,20.
Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Md Masudur Rahman said
a special team of DB North zone detained them on Sunday around 5:15 pm.
DB sources said the detainees were planning to spread the fake notes at
different shopping malls ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr. A couple of cases are already
pending against them.
A case has been lodged against them with Motijheel Police Station.
