DHAKA, May 23, 2019 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid, who is now on an 11-day visit to London and Germany for health check-up, today condoled the death of Nazrul Sangeet exponent, researcher and Ekushey Padak winning singer Khalid Hossain.
In a condolence message, the head of the state expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Khalid Hossain, who breathed his last at National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) here last night.
Recalling his contribution to the field of music, especially Nazrul Sangeet arena, with due respect, President Hamid said, “His death is really an irreparable loss to the field of music.”
The President prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.
