Doctor held with huge banned medicine in Ctg
CHATTTOGRAM, May 16, 2019 (BSS)-Chattogram Metropolitan Police arrested an
MBBS doctor with five sacks of foreign-made banned medicine from city’s
Khulshi area last night.
The arrested doctor was identified as Mohammad Babul Hossain, 30, son of
Khurshed Alam, hailed from Raj Nagar area under Companyganj upazila of Sylhet
district.
Pronob Kumar Chowdhury, officer-in-charge (OC) of Khulshi thana said a
patrol team of Khulshi thana police detained Babul with five sacks of Indian-
made banned Paracetamol worth Taka 10 lakh in the aforesaid area.
Babul, who obtained MBBS degree from Ragib-Rebiya Medical College in Sylhet
in 2015 was involved with illicit medicine business for long time.
OC Pronob told journalists that legal action will be taken against the
detainee.
