ICT-based education underscored to expedite country’s dev

KHULNA, May 15, 2019 (BSS) – Speakers at a programme underscored the need for ICT-based education as it can help young students in acquiring knowledge easily for building Bangladesh as a digitalized one.

The speakers said the government has taken various schemes to ensure ICT-based quality education among students and school teachers and guardians should work together to run multimedia classrooms for successful implementation of the government’s digitisation programme which is very crucial for further development of the country.

They came up with the observations while addressing a seminar on science education at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner here.

Khulna Divisional Administration organised the seminar and quiz competition with the help of National Science and Technology Museum this morning.

Divisional Commissioner Lokman Hossain Mia took part in the seminar as the chief guest.

The divisional commissioner, in his speech, said people of modern time always spend their time with blessings of technology from morning till the night as we can do our activities easily by the inventions of science.

Hossain also said, ”Science has already conquered distance. We cannot even think anything without science… people cannot survive in the world without science.”

Additional Divisional Commissioner Nishchinto Kumar Podder chaired the function while Director of the Local Govt Department Hossain Ali Khondoker, Deputy Commissioner, Khulna Md Belal Hossain and Deputy Police Commissioner SM Fozlur Rahman were present as special guests.

Professor Dr Shibendro Shekhor Sikder of Khulna Science and Technology University presented the keynote paper at the seminar while Professor Shadhon Ranjon Ghosh and Dr Md Abu Yusuf spoke as resource person.

A total of 90 students from 10 high school of the division took part in the seminar.
