DHAKA, May 12, 2019 (BSS) – Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road,
Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader will return home on May 15
after taking treatment from a Singapore hospital.
“A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight (BG 085) will carry him back home on
the Wednesday evening,” a Bridges Division spokesman told BSS.
He said earlier today Quader talked to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over
phone and informed her about his planned return.
Earlier, on March 3 last, the AL general secretary was admitted to
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital after suffering
breathing complications.
Tests revealed three blockages in his coronary artery and later he was
flown to Singapore for better treatment under the supervision of Prime
Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He underwent a bypass surgery on March 20.
