Road accidents kill two women in Kushtia
KUSHTIA, May 10, 2019 (BSS)- Two women were killed in separate road
accidents in Daulatpur upazila of the district today.
The deceased were identified as Usha, 14, hailed from Mothurapur area and
Johura Khatun, 40, an inhabitant of Chunia Mor village under the upazila.
Police said Usha died on the spot while a shallow engine-run human hauler
crushed her in Shealah area this noon. Her uncle was injured in the accident.
Besides, Jhohura Khatun was killed in a road accident on Mirpur-Daulatpur
road in Chunia Mor area around 7am. The accident occurred when a shallow
engine-run vehicle ran over her in the area as its driver lost control over
the steering. Police recovered Jhohura’s body and sent it to Kushtia General
Hospital.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daulatpur Thana Azizur Rahman confirmed the
incidents.
