Speaker attends iftar hosted by IGP
DHAKA, May 9, 2019 (BSS) – Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today attended an iftar party as the chief guest hosted by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr Mohammad Javed Patwary in city’s Rajarbagh Police Lines area.
Before the iftar, a special munajat was offered seeking divine blessings for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the nation.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Awami League (AL) Presidium member Begum Matia Chowdhury, AL Advisory Council member Amir Hossen Amu, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, Housing and Public Works Minister SM Rezaul Kairm, former Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Chief Election Commissioner and other high officials joined the iftar party.
