Election schedule for a reserved woman seat announced
DHAKA, May 8, 2019 (BSS) – The Election Commission (EC) today announced
the schedule of election to a seat reserved for women, fixing the voting date
on June 16.
EC Secretariat Secretary Helaluddin Ahmad announced the polls schedule
at Nirbachan Bhaban here.
Helaluddin said the last date of nomination paper submission for the
reserved seat is May 20, while the last date of nomination paper withdrawal
is May 28.
He said the nomination papers will be scrutinised on May 21.
The EC secretary said as BNP-elect MPs did not take oath earlier, one
reserved seat for women were remained vacant. As the BNP MPs now took oath,
election to one reserved seat for BNP will be held on June 16.
