Mobile courts fine restaurants in city
DHAKA, MAY 8, 2019 (BSS) – Mobile courts initiated by Dhaka South City
Corporation (DSCC) in anti-adulteration drives in different areas of the city
today fined a number of restaurants for selling adulterated food.
The south city corporation conducted the drives in five different areas
with a view to ensuring supply of pure, hygienic and chemical free foodstuffs
for greater interests of saving public health during the holy month of
Ramadan.
Mizanur Rahman, executive magistrate of area-1, conducted a drive in
Segunbagicha, Kakrail and Boro Maghbazar area and fined Taka 1.50 lakh to
different eateries.
Executive magistrate of area-2 Md Masud Rana conducted a drive in
Shantinagar and find a restaurant Taka 10,000.
Meanwhile, four different restaurants in Hazaribag area were fined Taka
15,000 each, in anoter drive conducted by the executive magistrate of area -3
Md Muniruzzaman.
Executive magistrate of area-4 Udayan Dewan fined five traders Taka 13,000
for selling adulterated food.
Executive Magistrate Samshul Haque fined three food companies Taka 10,000
in Sayedabad Bus Stand area for producing and selling adulterated foods.
