JS body recommends establishing Land Survey Appeal Tribunal immediately

DHAKA, May 8, 2019 (BSS) – The third meeting of the parliamentary
standing committee on the ministry of law, justice and parliamentary affairs
was held today at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban. The chairman of the committee
Abdul Matin Khasru presided over the meeting.

Members of the committee Begum Sahara Khatun, Md Shamsul Haque Tuku, Md
Abdul Majid Khan, Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, Shameem Haider Patwari Gloria
Jharna Sarkar and Abdus Sattar Bhuiyan were also present at the meeting.

The meeting recommended an elaborate discussion about the formation of
the Land Survey Appeal Tribunal in presence of the Attorney General,
Registrar of the Supreme Court and Land Secretary in the next meeting of the
committee.

The committee placed a recommendation to present a complete report
regarding the land registration as well as and fee determination progress and
digitization of land registration.

A recommendation was made to present a report regarding the root causes
of the existing adversity in land service and probable solutions to them.

Legislative and Parliamentary affairs senior secretary Md Shahidul Haque,
Law and justice secretary Abu Saleh Mohammad Zahirul Haque, officials of the
law, justice and parliamentary affairs ministry and the Jatiya Sangsad, among
others, were present at the meeting.
