Liberation War Affairs ministry to observe service week on May 8-14
DHAKA, May 6, 2019 (BSS) – The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs and all
offices and agencies affiliated to the ministry will observe a service week
from May 8 to 14 across the country.
A meeting was held at the ministry’s conference room in this regard with
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque in the chair, said a press
release here today.
The minister will inaugurate the service week on May 8 by leading a
procession at 10 am in the city, the release added.
According to the release, the gazette wing of the ministry will take
measures to amend gazette and publish gazette complying with the suggestions
of proper authorities.
Ministry’s certification wing will provide certificates for recruitment,
admission into educational institutions and extending tenure of services
under freedom fighter quota.
The development wing of the ministry will inspect the certificates of
injured and slain freedom fighters and scrutinize applications on allocating
land, plot and house among the freedom fighters.
The service week will also include distribution digital cards, assistance
and allowances among the freedom fighters.
The service recipients have been requested to take services during the
service week.
