Arrest warrant issued against Khoka’s son in ACC case
DHAKA, May 05, 2019 (BSS) – A Dhaka court today issued warrant to arrest former Dhaka city corporation mayor Sadeq Hossain Khoka’s son Ishrak Hossain for not submitting wealth statement.
Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Imrul Qayesh passed the order, taking into cognizance the charge sheet filed in the case.
The court also transferred the case to Dhaka 4th special judge court for further hearing.
Earlier on December 6, 2018, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) deputy director and investigation officer in the case Jahangir Hossain filed two separate charge sheets against Ishrak and his sister Sarika Sadeq.
According to the case documents, The ACC on September 1, 2008, issued notices to Ishrak and Sarika to submit statements on the wealth belonging to them and people dependent on them.
The ACC sent the notices to their home on September 4, 2008. But the siblings didn’t comply with the ACC notice within due time.
ACC assistant director Samsul Alam on August 29, 2010, filed the case against the siblings with capital’s Ramna Police Station.
