Bangladesh win three gold medals in Bangla-Bangladesh Wrestling
DHAKA, May 4, 2019 (BSS)-The Bangladesh wrestlers won five medals
including three gold, one silver and one bronze medal in the Bangla-
Bangladesh Wrestling competition that concluded on Friday at Ponchonon
gymnasium in West Bengal, Kolkata.
Bangladesh wrestlers Kamruzzaman, Mehedi Hasan and Irin Akter won gold
in 86, 70 and 59 kgs weight categories respectively while Ching Shanu Marma
secured silver in 62 kg and Joyonto Roy bagged bronze in 60 kg.
West Bengal Wrestling Federation arranged the two-day competition on
occasion of 100th birth anniversary of India’s first wrestling referee Sudhir
Chandra Saha.
