Bangladesh to be developed country before 2041: Mosharraf

FARIDPUR, March 26, 2018(BSS) – Local Government, Rural Development (LGRD)
and Cooperatives Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain said Bangladesh will be
a developed country before 2041 due to development works taken by the present
government of Prime minister Sheikh Hasina.

The minister was addressing a reception ceremony arranged for the freedom
fighters and their family members at Kabi Jasimuddin Hall of the town this
afternoon.

As part of the celebration of 48th Independence and National Day -2018,
the district administration arranged the program.

The minister said “The freedom fighters are the heroic sons of the nation,
for whom we got independence led by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman.”

“As part of taking development initiatives across the country during AL
tenure, Bangladesh has achieved the eligibility of graduating to a developing
country from the group of Least Developed Country (LDC). If the development
works continue, the country will be a developed one before 2041,” he added.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ommey Salma Tanzia presided over the function
while Superintendent of Police Jakir Hossain, Sadar Upazila Chairman
Khandaker Mohtesham Hossain Babar and District AL President Advocate Subol
Chandra Saha addressed the function as special guests.

A total of 414 freedom fighters have been accorded reception at the
function.
