ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY, March 25, 2018 (BSS) – A discussion meeting was held at
Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Saturday on the occasion of March 26
the Independence Day and National Day 2018.
The authority of Islamic University organised the event at Birshrestha
Hamidur Rahman auditorium of the campus around 11.30am on that day.
Joint general secretary of Awami Leauge M Mahbub-Ul Alam Hanif MP
addressed at the discussion ceremony as the chief guest with IU vice
chancellor Professor Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari in the chair.
President of Jhenaidah district Awami League Abdul Hai MP, Pro-VC of the
university Professor Dr M Shahinoor Rahman and Treasurer Professor Dr M Selim
Toha were present here as the special guests.
Convener of the Independence Day celebration sub-committee of the
university Professor Dr M Jahangir Hossain delivered the welcome speech on
the function conducted by Professor Dr M Saidur Rahman and assistant
professor Tiasha Chakma of Bangla department of the university.
Addressing, Mahbub-Ul Alam Hanif said the all movements of father of the
nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had been successful from 1952 to
1971 with a view to his merit, skill and competence about politics.
