Applying research experience to accelerate development stressed

RANGPUR, March 25, 2018 (BSS) – Academicians at a seminar here have put importance on application of research findings, experiences and results to speed up national uplift for building a developed Bangladesh by 2041.

“The researchers should search for newer knowledge and innovations through research to ensure quality and international standard of their research findings,” said Vice-chancellor of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) Professor Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah.

Kalimullah said this at a seminar on ‘Exchanging Real Experiences of Research’ organised by Dr Wazed Research and Training Institute (DWRTI) of the university at its academic building no-2 in the campus on Saturday afternoon, said a press release.

Professor of the Department of Development Studies of Dhaka University Dr Shuchita Sharmin as the Key Note Discussant conducted the seminar moderated by Scientific Officer of DWRTI Mehzabeen Elahi.

Research fellows and officials of DWRTI, teachers and students of different departments of the university participated in the event.

Dr Sharmin discussed about various aspects of research, importance of conducting research and shared her practical experiences on conducting research in the field of higher education and other fields.

“Conducting continuous research on every field of development, and especially in the education sector, is essential to speed up development as well as improving the quality of higher education at the present global context,” she said.
